Question about utility for Windows RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I find that many users , when working on a project, especially complex ones,  with a number of documents, spreadsheets, emails, email attachments and other types of files open, leave all these files open 24/7. It's a huge mnemonic to help them do their project; even the cursor position is important in each file.

This creates problems with data backup, reboots of the workstation due to updates, etc.

Is there a utility that could be run that remembers every open file, it's window position, it's cursor position and can save this info. Then the next day the user can restore it to how it was. I thought of disk hibernation but I am looking for something that keeps the machine on, perhaps the machine could even be restarted and then the desktop state restored.

    Thank you,

    David R.
