If your copy of Windows came preinstalled from the factory then Windows may not be seeing the SLIC table in the BIOS for some reason.  Try using the COA product key printed on a sticker affixed to your computer (or in the battery compartment if you have a laptop).  Click Start and type "activate windows" and hit enter.  Follow the instructions to enter and activate the COA key.  The key in your report was installed at the factory and cannot be used to manually activate.

Colin – it’s the Default Key, not an OEM_SLP Key.

  • The product key currently being used is the Default Keyless Install Key.  When installing windows, if the user do not enter a Valid product ket during the install process, Windows will use it's own Keyless Install key.  This key acts like a Trial key, allowing Windows to be used for 30 days.  The user will need to enter a Valid product key to continue using Windows after the 30 day trial.

To resolve your issue, please enter the Product Key that came with that copy of Windows.  To enter the valid product key, click the Start button, right-click Computer and select Proprieties.  In the window that opens, scroll to the bottom and click the Change Product key button and then follow the directions.

    Thank you,
