CRM 2011 Email Router: #6511 - An error occurred while checking the e-mail message with subject RRS feed

  • I seem to keep getting the odd email stuck in my forward mailbox which in turn creates a large number of event logs similar to as follows ....

    #6511 - An error occurred while checking the e-mail message with subject "There was an error sending your mail" in mailbox crmexch@*****.co.uk for delivery to https://internalcrm.*****.co.uk/*****. System.ServiceModel.FaultException`1[Microsoft.Xrm.Sdk.OrganizationServiceFault]: The sender does not have an email address on the party record (Fault Detail is equal to Microsoft.Xrm.Sdk.OrganizationServiceFault).

    Looking at the email they seem to always be related to delivery failures. The user who's email this relates to is configured in CRM with the correct email address however in all cases the other email is not. I would not expect these to track anyway so I am not sure what is happening.

  • This is a current bug/feature problem not scheduled to be changed in the base product until late next year. -

    So, please open a case with MSFT and request (politely demand) a hotfix - it isn't available yet (as of today), but we're pushing for one since we get the same error at a large deployment. (And the same error did not happen when the same condition occured in 4.0)

  • Could someone please let me know if this has been fixed on latest rollup of crm 2011.

    I've got similar error but found out it is because of the spam. I could not find the email on CRM but there are heaps of error on the event log.

    Is there any fix for this?
