Windows Home Server breaks my internet connection RRS feed

    I have installed WHS with Powerpack 3.  I can access the WHS, see the shared folders, all is well.  Until I try to do a "backup now".  When I do that, my connection to the internet from the PC I am running the console on is broken.  Big Red X in Network Control Center.  I click on the big red X, it fixes itself and I'm up and running.  This happens every time.

    It sounds like a driver or network interface issue for that PC.
    I'm not on the WHS team, I just post a lot. :)

    I checked and have the latest drivers.  Running Windows 7 Ultimate.

    NIC is Athereos L1 Gigabit Ethernet 10/100/1000Base-T Controller.

    It's not unheard of that latest drivers to have problems.  Try downloading some other drivers for your Network Card.

    Can you recommend a great card that works with Windows 7 so I don't have to worry about it?
