Windows Vista build 6000 - this copy is not genuine

Question
-
Hi, I bought a new laptop to use at collage. It has Vista on it, I got my laptop from HP... I have been having alot of problems with vista I may go back to XP or and install another OS if I cannot fix this. The copy of vista on my computer right now is the one that came with the computer. Recently because of many blue screens I used the HP recovery feature and reinstalled everything to the factory image... menaing everything was the same as when I bought it. Below is a WGA diag of my computer. I would like to know how to fix this.

Hello Hobbit_4,
In your Diagnostic Report it shows the error code "Online Validation Code: 0x80070426". This means that the Software Licensing Service has stopped. Vista uses this service to check itself and confirm it is Genuine. When the servise is stopped, Vista is unable to confirm it's own Genuine status and assumes something (or someone) has tampered the Software Licensing Service and flages itself as Non-Genuine.
The below are the Manual steps to Force Start the Service. Once you type the net start slsvc command and hit Enter, if you receive any error, then, for some reason, Vista is not processing the command correctly and the issue is larger then just a Software Licensing problem. In which case, I would suggest contacting Vista core support at http://support.microsoft.com
If you have acces to the Start button:
1) Click the Start button
2) Type: cmd in the Start Search field
3) At the top the Start window, you will see cmd.exe
4) Right Click cmd.exe and select Run as Administrator
5) Type: net start slsvc
If you do not have access to the Start button:
1) Click the option Access computer with reduced functionality
2) A Browser will open, type: %windir%\system32 into the address field
3) Find the file cmd.exe
4) Right Click on the cmd.exe and select Run as Administrator
5) Type: net start slsvc
Thank you,
Darin Smith

Thank-you for your time, now here is my response.
I read your comment and at first I thought the error was because I was in safe mode with networking... I was at college at the time so I couldnt simply just connect to the internet... to do that I would need to use windows features and with the current state of my Laptop I couldnt. I am at home now and so I can connect to the internet easily now.
I started up Vista and the error Message "This copy of Vista is not genuine" poped up. I clicked the internet link which was provided in the error message. This link took me to a webpage to "validate" or test to see if I had a valid copy of vista or not. It said that my version passed. After that I ran the test again. (The results are below at the bottom of this post).
After I did this on the advise you posted in the command prompt. I ran it as a admin (right click run as admin) and here is what came out of that....
"The requested service has already been started.
More help is available by typing NET HELPMSG 2182"
When I typed "NET HELPMSG 2182" I got
"The Requested service has already been started"
