I have completely installed my Onecare and got it running. I have gone through the 15-day trial period. When I installed it, it sent me to a website to create my Microsoft ID and submit my product key. I did all that and submitted my product key for my Onecare to microsoft, but it won't activate my program. Now when I try to go in and resubmit my product key, it says that it has already been claimed by another user. This is the only account I have with Microsoft Live and it won't let me activate my Onecare. What do I do?

  • First of all, please check that the date and time settings on your computer are accurate. If they are, or you are still having trouble activating, sign in to http://billing.microsoft.com/ and see if your OneCare subscription is listed. If it isn't listed, you are possibly using a different LiveID - if you're absolutely sure you're using the same LiveID in OneCare as you used to submit your product key, please contact support - here's the FAQ on how to reach support:

I posted a problem on here about 7 hours ago. I have been trying to do what the solution said, but all I have been doing is running around in circles. There was a way for me try to get a phone number to call in for support, but the automatic help wizard wouldn't give it to me because I can't verify with it that I have a full version of Onecare and not a trial version. If I could just get a phone number so I can call in and talk to a person instead of playing email tag with you that would be great. Thanks!

  • Until your subscription can be validated, you will need to use email support per the instructions in the FAQ post on how to reach support, unfortunately.

If you do not hear from support within 24 hours, email me at sboots@mvps.org, let me know what country you are in, use a subject line that includes "OneCare" (to get past the spam filters) and paste a ink to this thread in the message body.
