all programs have changed to different format that wont allow me to access them,

  my desktop,all my program files,anything new that i install,same thing,it changes everything to a format i cant open,all diag.tools same thing,cant access,cant restore. IM running windows xp prof. 2002 s.p3 w/64bit supp.anyone have any Ideas?luckily I was able to access the internet thru my e-mail.   scottmcqueen2@hotmail.com
