    I have a SBS 2008 server, we can't add any ext USB device, it always tries to install, but ends up with unknown device, I have tried USB drive enclosures, a MS usb wireless mouse, and kingston USB drive, all give prompts to put in the cd that came with the device to load the driver.  All can normally be plugged into a windows machine and not require any driver

    This is wrong information.

    SBS 2008 questions go to the *newsgroup* for SBS at microsoft.public.windows.server.sbs.

    Your link goes to a Windows Server forum not to an SBS forum.


    There is possibly a partner-only SBS 2008 forum but I am fairly sure there are no public SBS forums.
