I was a beta tester for Office 2007 Pro. Neither needing nor wanting all the "bells and whistles" I chose to buy Home & Student
In order to install Office Home and Student 2007 (which I legally purchased from Best Buy) Every bit of Office Pro HAD to be hunted down and deleted. Without TOTALLY deleting the Pro version, the Home & Student version WOULD NOT install!
Office Pro WAS deleted.
Office Home 2007 Student was installed And, it has been PREVIOUSLY VALIDATED
Now, when I go to install the "save as pdf/xps" add-in, the validation fails - I get 2 dialog boxes telling me that:
Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007
The product(s) listed above completed validation. However, as a result of the failed or incomplete validation(s) listed below, this computer is not eligible for the benefits of genuine Office. Remove the application(s) that failed or could not complete validation and run the validation tool again.
AND,
Microsoft Office Professional 2007:Validation Failed
|
No valid Office key was detected. This is a strong indication that the Office product installed is not genuine.

Not having a witch doctor around to break the curse, is there a "simpler" solution?
