Drive Extender vs ZFS RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • I'd like to thank Microsoft and the moderators of this forum for explaining the Drive Extender technology in detail. Since I'm just a enthusiast rather then a "Home User" I really do care for the safety of my data without a outrageous 66% overhead. Not to mention this will still be new technology 2 years from now. My research has found a little file system called ZFS which is as bullet proof as it gets without the outrageous overhead. I watched the Youtube videos of them smashing 2 drives with a sledge hammer while the array (8 drives total) repaired itself in real time. My data deserves that.

Your DE is frightening... but good luck with it.
