Web App Development - Powerful Data Entry Forms Needed RRS feed

  • Question

  • There is a growing trend to move away from Javascript tools. Microsoft is heading in one direction with Blazor to eliminate javascript dependance.  Others are dropping jQuery support and moving to more generic javascript implementations.

My question to the Blazor team regarding what is the plans for making super-powerful data editing forms resulted in a response that "we are not interested and have too many bugs to work out yet".

There are tens of  thousands of MVC apps created pre ASP.NET Core using jquery for inline table editing,  or modal dialogs for editing - and the packages these were created with are not supported in Core 3.0+ .   So what is the Microsoft plan for addressing this need?

Fact - we need powerful data entry forms - they need to work well,  look great and be easy to construct and maintain.

The response from the Blazor team in my view is not acceptable.   Someone needs to take a look into this area and come up with a better response.
