XP shutdown overnight RRS feed

  • Question

  • I just lost a day's worth of work because you felt the need to shut my computer down overnight.  Autosaved versions are gone.  Thanks that cost me about a grand.  WHY DO YOU PUSH RESTARTS WHY WHY WHY IT'S NOT YOUR COMPUTER

You have the option to not install updates automatically - you also have the option to save your work before leaving the workstation.

This has nothing - as far as I can see - to do with Windows Genuine, merely Windows Updates.
If you want assistance with controlling Windows Updates, I suggest that you post in an appropriate forum.
