  • I logged onto my computer and noticed that my copy of windows is not genuine... i bought this computer from Bestbuy a 2 years ago and it has been fine till now

    For some reason, the OS is unable to see the BIOS SLIC table properly, which is required to be able to self-activate the OEM_SLP Key in use here.
    To correct the problem, you need to use the Change Product Key link at the bottom of the System properties page, and change the Key to the one on your COA sticker on the machine’s case.

  • what if the COA sticker is worn and unreadable? they put the sticker on the bottom of the laptop for some reason..
