  • How to solve the error below...


    Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManagerServerErrorException: Session state can only be used when enableSessionState is set to true, either in a configuration file or in the Page directive. Please also make sure that System.Web.SessionStateModule or a custom session state module is included in the <configuration>\<system.web>\<httpModules> section in the application configuration.

    in my web.config i have created sessionstate

            <pages enableSessionState="true" enableViewState="true" enableEventValidation="false" enableViewStateMac="true" validateRequest="false">

    but sill i got the above error

  • Is this CRM 4.0 or or 2011? 2011 does not support ISV folder deployments to my understanding. 

    If 4.0 do you have more than one web config that could be overriding settings in different folders possibly.

    Could you check your page directive in your aspx pages to see if you have session state turned off in your aspx pages that might trying to use it.  You would be looking for something like <%@ Page EnableSessionState="false" %>

    You could have it turned on in the web.config but your individual pages could be overridding it.


    If you move this application to a new website in IIS do you still see the problem?
