Vista Home Premium validation error RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I recently purchased a new computer that came bundled with an OEM version of Vista Home Premium, and it has been working fine up until tonight when it suddenly began telling me that my version of Vista may not be valid! I've tried the online validation process, but it says that it can not be determined that my version of Vista is valid and gives the error code: 0xC004C4A8.

I also ran the online diagnostic test, and all the Active X plugins were working correctly and I was connecting to the validation server with no problems.

I also have another hard drive with Windows XP Home Edition installed on it, which I took out of my previous computer. I've mainly been booting up from that hard drive ( until Vista gets its bugs ironed out ). I don't know if this could be causing problems or not.

    Help please!
