windows firewall running while live onecare firewall is running? RRS feed

    OS: Vista

    OneCare Ver: 2.0.2500.14

Should the Windows Firewall be running at the same time as the OneCare Firewall? I noticed that the built in firewall was turned off so I turned it back on, but I dont want to cause any conflicts with OneCare...

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  • Windows recommends using only 1 firewall (as do most other providers)

  • In addition the OneCare installation turns off the Windows Firewall specifically to avoid any conflict. In fact, it should do it again the next time you reboot the PC.
