install another purchased copy after the first one expired

My status of the first Onecare is "canceled" since it was expired the end of last year. I have bought anther copy with another 25 product key. How do I installed the new one with same windows ID? I did tried to install before but as long as I signed in with old window ID, it became red. I just format my drive so no need to uninstall tho.Thursday, March 26, 2009 9:14 AM

But can I have onecare running with a new windows ID and still using my live messenger with an old ID at same computer same time? I have a lot contacts in my live messenger and everyday use. I don't want to change to a new live messenger ID.

Yes, your One Care Live ID used for subscription can be independent of the Live ID used for Live Hotmail and Messenger.

ok, I chose another new windows ID, and installed the new purchased onecare. but during the subscription, it failed again telling me the 25 product key is invalid. I did tried it when I was stuck on the old one but never succeeded before. any comments?Friday, March 27, 2009 1:36 AM

It is most likely you are misreading the product key. If you had succeeded with your original account you would see a "Product key already in use" message. Try viewing the product key with a magnifier.
