I would try to make a repaired version of my file with File->RepairMoneyFile->StandardFileRepair level 2.
You could also switch to Sunset. I don't know if that would help. For either, I would do the Windows firewall thing where you block Money from trying to do internet accesses.

Personally, I'd run the Quick Repair, then the Standard Repair (level 2), then the Quick Repair again.
The quick repair and the standard repair work on completely different issues in the database. It is possible that quick repair may expose something that standard needs to fix, and the repair that standard fixes may need to have quick repair to finish the issue. Anytime you want to fix an issue, always run Quick - Standard - Quick.

If your *.mny file is not in your Documents folder, try putting your file into your Documents folder and opening that.
That is probably not going to do it, but it seems worth a try. Otherwise, you could do QIF export from the problem file and QIF Import into a new file. That loses some info, but you would have a very clean file. If you want to try that, let us know. There are methods and tips. Doing that does not lose the original file, presuming that the new file has a different name. So you could open either file. You could keep both going for a while until you know which you want to continue with.

The money file is in the documents folder in a sub folder named money. I was thinking about exporting from the problem file, but I was thinking to make a second copy and save that then export, delete all the accounts and import all the exported files. I am thinking that way I wouldn't lose all the investment price history.Wednesday, March 15, 2017 2:28 PM

In your actions, keep copies on other media in case you want to undo something.
For each file that you create and will use alternately, go to Tools->Settings->BackupSettings
I would name the files to something meaningful such as dalep_history.mny and dalep2.mny. Renaming is done with Windows while Money is closed.
Change the SaveIn boxes (2 places per Money file) to unique filename roots. You don't want backups from different Money files to have the same root names. Money will append the time/date info and the .mbf to the backups, and will keep the latest backups according to the number you elect.
I have my scheduled backups saved to a USB flash drive that I keep plugged in. That way, if the hard drive crashes, I still have Money backups.
When running more than one Money file, you can use the most-recently-used list at the bottom of the file menu to switch between files.
Since the File->Repair->RemoveAllBillsData is not working, and repairs will not fix it, I think it will be good to have a clean file going forward. I would still block Money with the Windows firewall to keep it from attempting Internet access.
Here are some tips for your QIF export and import:
================================================================
If you want to do the QIF export/import, first export all accounts to Loose QIF
files, one at a time. I would suggest this: start the name of the QIF file for the investment
accounts with an underscore (_), and start the name of QIF files for the cash
accounts associated with the investments with a letter. Thus you might have
_BrownInvestment.qif and BrownInvestmentCash.qif. This would cause the
investment account to be processed prior to the associated cash account. When
the BrownInvestment got created, you would specify that you want to track the
cash transactions. Then specify that the cash transactions account for
BrownInvestment was where the BrownInvestmentCash.qif transactions get sent.
Create a new Money file with
File->New->NewFile.
Name it something like dalep2.mny.Click Next.
Select (*)I don't want to use a password.
Next.
On page titled "Add your accounts", click "Skip account setup." if you want to wait until the QIF import to create the accounts. Alternatively you could create empty accounts at this point, and then you will have those to choose from during the QIF import.
On page titled "Congratulations" click Finish.Then you could try your same import. Money should then ask about an account. Let Money create an account, and see what shows up.
To switch back to your regular file, Click File and select your real file from the list at the bottom of the drop-down list.
Then
File->Import->RecoverAccounts using Ctrl+<click> to select each and all of the
QIF files that you made. Make sure that you understand and follow this step. Then click Import.Money should then ask about an account as the files are processed. Let Money create an account that you will provide the name for. Since you gave the QIF files meaningful names, you should know what to name the account. Since you started the filename for any investment accounts with a '_', I expect them to come in first.

Thanks for the tips on export/import. Since I would be creating a new money file is there any way to recover/import the daily mutual fund/stock prices for 20+ years of investments?Monday, March 20, 2017 10:45 AM
