Reports missing, ignore during setup

Question

Hi
I installed CRM 4.0 and got error saying that the report server failed to find the path but I was able to ignore at install CRM.
Now I can go to servername\reports and reportserver and there is a 4.0 folder and a datasource but no reports.
The table reportsbase is empty and when I try to run publishreports.exe it just says begin an nothing happens, in the log I can see it tries to get the report info from the reportbase table which is empty.
I tried doing a repair and have installed rollup 7 but still no reports, what can I do to republish the reports ???

Hi
The report server was configured correctly, I have solved it by making fake report and reportserver virtual directories in the default website and deleted the CRM install.
Then I did a fresh install and now it's ok. It's because sql 2008 has the report websites internally but CRM must have some path in iis to install it.
And your right don't ignore errors but I thought reports just needed to be published when I got reporting services working. Well I learned something new :)

Hi Jack,
My guess is that something happened during setup or report server was not properly set? Was the user that you used while setting up crm a full sql server administrator and if report server was on a different server also an administrator there?
We can try to fix this, but if crm is not currently running I would recommend removing it, then trying to re-install.

Hi
Well CRM is running just fine and I guess I can create new reports but the default ones aren't published. When I try to do it with publishreports.exe it tries to publish from the database but there are no reports in the table.
I have tried repairing but still no reports, it must be possible to publish the reports again somehow.

It is generally not a good practice to ignore errors and continue on. I would uninstall, ensure the report server is correctly configured and that you can access it using the Report Server URL http:ReportServerName/reportserver and then try the install again.
