To properly analyse and solve problems with Activation and Validation, we need to see a full copy of the report produced by the MGADiag tool (download and save to desktop - http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 )
    Once saved, run the tool.
Click on the Continue button, which will produce the report.
To copy the report to your response, click on the Copy button in the tool (ignore any error messages at this point), and then paste (using either r-click/Paste, or Ctrl+V ) into your response.

  • I have the same problem.  My son's HP laptop came with Windows 7 pre-installed, and he has used it for a year with no issues.  Now, however, it hangs up during boot up with the "7600 not genuine error" and will not proceed beyond that black screen.  It will only fully boot up in safe mode.

PLEASE repost your own problem in YOUR OWN, NEW thread to avoid confusion!
Use MSCONFIG to try a Diagnostic boot - if it works, run MGADiag from there, and post the result again
