configuration registry key is invalid RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am developing a PCI driver for a custom hardware on Windows Server 2003. When I try to upload the driver for my hardware, I see the error "configuration registry key is invalid", due to which my driver is not loaded. Can someone explain what I need to do to come out of this error. I have checked MSDN and it says that

The system is unable to open or create a Registry key that does not have a name.

    Provide Key Name

I am not able to figure out what to do next.

  • Hello,

Thank you for your post!  I would suggest creating a new thread for your question in the (Windows Server TechCenter > Windows Server Forums > General ) forum located here:  (http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-us/winservergen/threads).

    Hope that would be helpful.

    Have a great day!

    Thanks & regards,
