Backup on Win8 client fails at 1%

Question
-
I have searched this, and other Forums, for a solution to this issue- most seem to mention the disk format issue. I checked, and double-checked. The Win8 client is formatted with NTFS. I have tried the other recommended fix, chkdsk /r /f. This also has not solved the issue.
Further info: The hard drive is a 60Gb SSD. I originally had a 32Gb SSD that backed up just fine, but was too small. I replaced it with the 60Gb SSD- and restored the smaller 32Gb image to the new drive. WHS2011 worked fine on the old 32Gb drive. I also have also uninstalled, and reinstalled, the WHS2011 Connector twice.
Any ideas?
Thanks...

It IS very likely to be a format issue, but it has nothing to do with the file system format (NTFS), it has to do with the format that is used to partition the hard drive. This used to be a format called MBR, nowadays it's increasingly a format called GPT. WHS 2011 cannot handle client PCs where the system drive hardware has been partitioned using GPT. Although, it looks as though a hotfix has just been issued to deal with this.
