  • Question

  • I RECEIVED THE SCHOLARSHIP FROM THE COLLEGE WHEN I REGISTERED LAST YEAR, AND THIS YEAR AS THEY SAID THEY RECEIVED MY NEG GRANT.

IS IT LEGAL IF COLLEGE REMOVED THE SCHOLASHIP THAT THEY GAVE AFTER THEY RECEIVED THE NEG MONEY? OR I WAS SUPPOSE TO RECEIVE THE DIFFERENCE?

  • If you received the NEG grant which means you applied for it or your college did on your behalf.  NEG Grant is for courses or program specific, so if it was applied for the same courses which you received the scholarship for then you have no case, but if it was applied for a different course which you haven’t attended then you can contact your NEG counselor. In either case, you can call your NEG counselor just to verify. If you don’t have the counselor’s information, ask your college to provide that.

Only a Lawyer can answer if something is legal in this country. Even sometimes lawyers don’t even know. Ironic!

    Hope this is helpful.
