How to call 3rd party API from Dynamics 365 online

  Hi,

  I need to call 3rd party API from dynamics 365 online when search/pass parameter from crm.

  Based on this input parameter get results from API service and show/update in crm.

  Can anybody suggest best way to achieve this functionality and sample code would be helpful.
