internet security or antivirus? RRS feed

    my subscription for mcafee is over and i am looking for some other security system just want to the best at this tiem available. also it is infected my virus (trojans) so if before i install the other security s/w is it good that i just format the pc ?? will formating it delete the virus too??? n is this is going to serve the purpose.

  • I will, of course, recommend OneCare, but there are many alternatives you can consider.

    If you PC is currently infected, and you don't have a problem with formatting and starting fresh, yes, it will wipe out any viruses on the PC as all data will be overwritten. The exception would be if you had a boot sector virus present in some cases.

  • thansk for the quick one.

    i think my windows32 file is affected by virus. it a serious one?

    windows onecare is antivirus scan or it gives internet security too. also what of these two is recommendable?

     if it is just a antivirus scan then what option i have available?
