  • Question

  • Hi All,

    Here is my requirement,

I will be having 200 crm users who will be working on 2 shifts of 100 each.

So, how many client access licenses for CRM i may need - will be all 200 or it is just enough for 100 .

Could someone suggest me the best way..

    Many Thanks...

  • Hi Edwin,

are your users sharing the same devices?
If yes, you could license the devices with device CALs and not each single user with a user CAL.

  • According to my knowledge If all of your users using seprate User Names in AD then you need seprate license for each user, means you need 200 licenses

  • Thanks Shahid,

I came to know that, we have 2 different types of CAL Licenses like
    • Per Device CAL
    • Per User CAL
What if i we get 100 per device CAL Licenses and allow 2 users to use the same device (obviously they will be a part of the AD).

Is it possible and will it work-out?

I'm just trying to get the best possible way of attaining this!!!

    Thanks

  • Keller,

I'm just planning for the implementation, i will have to find out whether they share the same devices or using individual devices of their own - anyways I'm clear about the concept now - thanks for the inputs provided and appreciate the same..

    Thanks...
