Privacy issues in the US RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm assuming that the "in the cloud" storage is on servers in the US, right? If so, then any data stored on those servers is subject to the Patriot Act, right? Since most people (especially outside the US) probably don't want George W accessing their personal information, will there be an alternative storage cloud  location? Like Canada, where privacy still means something.

Data on your Live Desktop is currently stored in the United States.  The data is subject to US laws and Live Mesh is governed by the Microsoft online privacy statement. We are still determining future plans for the Live Mesh international service.

    Thank you,
