Is it possible to run NETFX_CORE on android RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,

I have created a class library project and link it with unity to generate a dll file, I could build the project for WSA but can’t build it on android because I couldn’t access to the functions of NETFX_CORE, is there a way to build the project on others platforms without modifying the main core of the UWP project ?

    Thank you

    Best regards

  • The Developing Universal Windows apps forum is for discussion of writing UWP apps. Android app development is off topic.

That said, there is a work item in the .Net Core github to build for Android at https://github.com/dotnet/coreclr/issues/1097

The current best option I'm aware of for .Net on Android is Xamarin. Xamarin forums are at http://forums.xamarin.com

For questions about Unity you can post in Unity's forums at http://forums.unity3d.com . Regardless of whether .Net Core can run on Android, I don't believe Unity will use it.
