Game State Management Sample Code - Getting Error CS1061 RRS feed

  • Question

    Hi Everyone,

I am brand new at developing Windows 7 Games using XNA.  I need to build a simple menu for my game and after some research came across the Game State Management System.  It seemed like a great place to start, so I downloaded the sample code to run it on my machine.  I assumed there are no errors in it and just tried to run it on my Windows 7 Emulator.

Can anyone explain the error below?

    I get the following error:

error CS1061: 'Microsoft.Phone.Shell.ActivatedEventArgs' does not contain a definition for 'IsApplicationInstancePreserved' and no extension method 'IsApplicationInstancePreserved' accepting a first argument of type 'Microsoft.Phone.Shell.ActivatedEventArgs' could be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?)
