Problem with Internet Explorer RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am running Windows 7 64 bit. My Internet Explorer 9 would not open my home page MSN.com. It opened others ok. Also, it will not work with Adobe Flash Player. I upgraded to Explorer 10 and it has the same problems. I tried all the Fix-it things on Microsoft.com and they say nothing's wrong. Anybody have any ideas?

  • Use Internet Explorer to download the latest version of Firefox.  http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/  Install it and import your bookmarks from IE.  Then delete all your shortcuts to IE and use Firefox.  You will need to visit the Adobe site with Firefox to download and install your add-ons like Flash.  I also suggest installing Adblock Plus 2.2.3, Adblock Plus Pop-up Addon 0.7 and Ghostery 2.9.2.  Those 3 add-ons will block most trackers and ads.  If you have your Windows Automatic Updates turned off you will have to use IE whenever you do a manual update.
