mp3 file recovery gone wrong

  A while ago my entire music collection was wiped from my computer, not deleted as it didn't all go to the recycle bin it just disappeared. I subsequently recovered the files and some of them are fine, others weren't able to be recovered but the large majority will appear in iTunes with all the artist, album and genre data that I inputed but will be either another song entirely or more likely parts of songs.

  Is there any way I can identify which files are corrupt and is there any way of fixing the issue?
