Windows Home Pro w/Remote Desktop RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,
I'm buying a new computer with Windows Home Pro installed. I've read the issues that many posters have had as a client accessing their Remote Desktop Server.  How can I be sure that I'll be able to access with Home Pro??  I only need to access my work's, both shared and non-shared files/drives. So, I'm acting purely as a client, right??  Went to visit my Dad a few weeks ago with Vista & RDT, worked fine.  My new computer is "on hold" with Dell.  HELP!! Should I spend the extra bucks to upgrade to Windows Pro??

  • This is the Windows Home Server forum. For questions about Windows 7, you should try the appropriate Microsoft forum .

That said, all versions of Windows include the Remote Desktop client. they differ in whether you may connect to them, not in whether you can connect from them.
I'm not on the WHS team, I just post a lot. :)
