Hello Bradley,
you have the opportunity to develop with C#, C++, Microsoft Visual Basic and JavaScript [1].
Under [2], [3] and [4] you can find some benefits for each programming language.
I think [2] is a good overview. For graphical issues you might choose C++. But for anything else C# might be a good choice.
