Well, Im a little new to all this, Im an application developer not a telco tech but I wanted to try and put together a proof of concept for some projects at work. I was hoping that I would be able to connect OCS to my cable providers VOIP line somehow. Im not really sure what is involved at all to get this done or if its possible. I have VOIP from cablevision (optimum voice) which normally means my phone is connected to my cable modem and I can make calls that way. I dont have a server address or username and password to log into the voip gateway(?). Is there any way to set this up so that I can call my VOIP number from a normal phone and have OCS pickup and react to it? Maybe someone can give me a run down of how a VOIP line normally connects to OCS, there seems to be very little info out there for those of us new to the scene.
