I'm trying to set up an outgoing profile for CRM 2011 Email Router, and I've hit a problem.
When testing access for a user, I get the following error:
Server: -SMTP server IP address-
Outgoing Status: Failure - An error occurred while checking the connection to the Microsoft Dynamics CRM server https://-CRMaddress-/-organizationName-. Metadata contains a reference that cannot be resolved: 'https://-CRMaddress-/XrmServices/2011/Discovery.svc?wsdl'.
The underlying connection was closed: Could not establish trust relationship for the SSL/TLS secure channel. The remote certificate is invalid according to the validation procedure.
The CRM in question is an IFD deployment using a self-signed certificate, and that certificate has been added to the root certificate list on the server running the email router.
There's a KB article for the same error, but it's for INCOMING, not outgoing emails. Please help - I don't know how to proceed.
