CRM 2011 - Conflict Tab after upgrade RRS feed

  • Hi All,

    After successful upgrade from CRM 4.0 to CRM 2011 we found extra 'Conflicts Tab' on Account form as well on couple of more entities. (See below image) This tab wasn't there on CRM 4.0

    Any idea on how it got created and how to remove it ?

  • Given that the tab has some content in it, it must have come from somewhere. My best guess is that it did exist on the CRm 4 form, but client script hid it. Such code would not work directly in CRM 2011, hence the tab is visible

    I suggest you open the Account form, and see if the tab is there, and if so, remove it. It would be a good idea at the same time to look and see if there is any client code that may have referenced the tab, and remove that code - the code is most likely to be in the Form script library, in the Onload event

    Thanks for this quick reply.

    I have checked in CRM 4.0 scripts and couldn't find anything which is relating to this (or even any script which hide tab/section)

    In addition to my above information, it only appears on main system entities like Account,Contact,Lead,Opportunities and NOT in any custom entities.

    But at the same time Case, Competitor,Product Does Not  have this tab.

    Also, I observed that this tab only has 'Activities' view as shown in above image for all the entities I have mentioned above. 

    Any other ideas ?

  • Did you have notes on the general tab? I found that if you have notes moved to the General tab. It causes this issue. It's just a wild guess.

    Let men know if it is true.

    No, notes is in normal attachement tab.

    Well, we can remove this whole conflict tab section and that will remove it from the form.

    but just would like to know the cause of this issue before we upgrade our production server as this is on our test environment. (which is exactly the same as production server).
