  • Im trying to update the option set default value through MSSQL.Please specify the approach to set a the default value

  • Updating the tables directly is not supported, and may corrupt your database. The safe, and supported, approach would be to use the SDK - the value you'd need to set is the PicklistAttributeMetadata.DefaultFormValue property

  • This can also be done directly by editing the optionset attribute and setting the default value option for the attribute.

    If you want to update the values for existing records where this is currently set to null, you can use the Bulk Edit option.
