Can't download attachments using the MS CRM 2013 Outlook client RRS feed

  • When trying to download a note attachment from preview in MS CRM 2013 Outlook client nothing happens. The download does not start. If I open the same record using a browser, I can download the attachment without a problem.

    The CRM organisation is an MS CRM 2013 Online and I have rollup1 installed.

    For each time I try to do the download I get about 30 events in my local event log saying:

    Error ESENT 412

    taskhost (5980) WebCacheLocal: Unable to read the header of logfile C:\Users\chd\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\WebCache\V01.log. Error -541.

    I have not been able to find anything useful on this using google. Any suggestions what I can do or try?

    We solved this problem by enabling the SSL page caching on IE.
    This parameter can be set in IE settings (last tab) or in registry :

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings
    DisableCachingOfSSLPages  must be set to 1.
