What if I just don't do anything??

It seems a lot of people are facing the same issue here... we have all been using our computers for years only to find out now that we aren't genuine.
My office products are telling me that I am going to be marked not genuine in 8 days. What does that mean exactly? What is going to happen if I don't do anything about it?
I am not trying to cheat Microsoft. I am generally a fan but with the economy at the worst it has ever been it seems beyond ridiculous to now start asking people to shell out hundreds of dollars for products they already have and have been using for years. If they really want people to get genuine, it would seem more sensible to offer a a license to these people at a REASONABLE price. They would get a lot better response. People are losing their homes and jobs, I think this is the last thing they should have to worry about!Tuesday, February 9, 2010 10:25 PM

Uninstall the non-genuine Office software, then consider installing Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010 (beta). You can use it until 10/31/2010.

That is exactly what Microsoft is doing. Click on the Learn More link in the Non-Genuine message, that you are seeing, and it will bring you to a page that explains the non-genuine issue as well as offer you ability to buy a Genuine copy of Office (usually referred to a Genuine Kit) at a substantial discount.
Thank you,

hi, Darrin. Thank you for you response. I did click that link and from what I saw it was $150 to $500. That is not something I could easily come up with - let alone in the next 8 days. Probably a lot of other people either. So, what is going to happen in 8 days when I am marked not genuine because I don't have $150 to $500 to shell out for a new key?Tuesday, February 9, 2010 11:05 PM
