Windows 8 client restore

Question
-
I can successfully backup\restore individual files from\to my win 8 x64 computer. I can not due a client restore using the restore usb key.
Is this because whs 2011 is win 7 based?
Can I create a win 8 restore key and transfer files from the server created restore key to make this work. If so what files?
Has anyone done a successful restore of a win 8 client?

You don't say at which point the restore fails and what the associated error message is. There is no fundamental reason why you can't restore a Win 8 backup - it is nothing to do with WHS2011 being based on Server 2008.

As Phil says, we need more info. At what point does restore fail, and with exactly what error? I've restored Windows 8 successfully, so it's got to be specific to your situation.
I'm not on the WHS team, I just post a lot. :)

In my case the restore process shows the error after 100% saing (translation) the system could not find the destination path.
The client is runing windows 8 x64
Thanks
