SCAM PHONE CALL?

Question
-
I'm receiving phone calls from a company called Unitech (spelling suspect) implying that my Windows operating system is sending them errors and that Microsoft is aware of this contact. Does anyone know if this is a legit communication or is this another scam attempt?
Thanks
Mike

Sounds fishy to me mike. I would ask them for contact information, addresses, and a website if they call back and use that to track them down. I've never heard of them though.

that's a scam, Mike. beware! i got a call like that before from a company named PC Solutions. told me they're an affiliate of Microsoft. the man said i got virus on my PC, which happened to be right then. So i thought he was legit, i allowed him access to my PC and I paid $250 for the fix, which was just right. but later on, when i checked online i got a total of $4200 billed to CC. i had to dispute the charges with my credit card company. and guess what, when i reported that phone number to this consumer complaint site called http://www.callercenter.com, i got 3 other responses to my complaint 4 hours later. which meant that that crook attempted to scam 3 other people.
