For being a MCTS you would wanna start with
70-432 - Development
70-433 - DBA
70-448 - BIDS
Correspondingly you could top them up with 70-450/51/52 to get MCITP..

Hi,
Most MCITP certifications have been retired or will be retired on 31 January 2014.
For SQL 2008 the MCSA: SQL 2008 certification is still valid:

You might consider to go for the newer SQL 2012 certifications:
