Markdown editor instead of Markup in Technet and MSDN forums RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • Please consider implementing "Markdown with preview" editor like Wikipedia and Stackoverflow (StackExchange). Instead of WYSIWYG Markup editor.

    The advantages over  are:

    • Its cleaner.
    • It reflects EXACTLY what user is trying to say.
    • The server-side manageability is easy.

On several TechNet/MSDN forums, when we try to emphasize or bold on something, it doesn't reflect the change. I submitted this post: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/sharepoint/en-US/a65b30bd-e7e8-4203-a584-ad80d94d6dfe/pretend-form-creation-in-sp-2013 and tried everything to make em-tag or I-tag to emphasise on some keywords, but it doesn't render. The eidt mode perfectly reflect what I wanted to do, but the view mode fails to deliver. Not to mention the unwanted line-breaks when the post is edited.

Please consider this option for the betterment of mankind:humanity.

    Thank you.
