IVR dial to extension does not work! RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am successfully using UM on Exchange 2007 SP1 and integration to OCS 2007 R2.
I can use voice mail, I can transfer to OCS Response Group Queues or extensions using IVR selections, BUT cannot directly accept extension dialing from inside the IVR.

In other words, an external user calls my IVR, and using "press 1 for blah blah, press 2 for whatever" I can direct them to a Response Group Queue OR OCS extension, but dialing directly "662" (an extension number) only results in "six six is not valid".

Now, that it only reads the first two digits should hint me about something, but I haven't set two digit extensions anywhere. Only three.

To give an example of a real OCS and Exchange UM enabled user:

    Exchange:
    User Whatever
    EUM
    662;phone-context=mydialplan.mydomain.com
    uwhatever@mydomain.com;phone-context=mydialplan.mydomain.com

    Same user on OCS:
    sip:uwhatever@mydomain.com
    Line URI
    tel:+991234567662;ext=662

(real numbers and names changed of course)

Again: If I set 662 as a destination for IVR tree selection (press 1), it works. Just not "direct extension" dialing. What am I doing wrong?
