Error Opening Report in CRM RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello all,

My name is Elizabeth and I'm new with CRM and Report. I just upgraded the Report Service in our CRM server to 2005 (it was initially RS 2000). Everything went fine; the list of the reports are shown on the CRM. The only thing is, we can't open the report whatsoever.

Everytime I try to open the report, I am asked to enter my login and password.

So I entered the login and password, but it gives me an error message. I tried entering admin login, still doesn't work.

Could anyone please help me on this one? I think I might have something correctly set up in the Reporting Service Configuration. By the way, when setting up the Report Server, for some reason I couldn't set the initialization; it's grayed out so I can't do anything about it. Could this be related to this problem?

    Thanks in advanced!

  • It looks like the problem is to do with how the data source is configured. In Report Manager, browse to your report and go to Properties, Data Sources. I expect that you have the 'The Credentials supplied by the user running the report' option selected. Change it to 'Windows NT integrated security'

If you have the SSRSS database on a different server than the SSRS application, you might be having trouble with passing authentication information from the client to the SSRS application server to the database server. That was my issue, as we do not have Kerberos 5 on our network yet.

try to add 'NT AUTHORITY\ANONYMOUS LOGON'  in SQL logins
