404 error when visiting a moved thread

We have fixed this bug as part of the January release. The issue is that threads moved to different brands/forum is not properly setting the correct URL.

i dont know what you do , but when you move a thread one can find it again and no error , .... so what do you do good ?

Reason why it works for me is because I move off topic threads to a "shared" forum across multiple brands (MSDN, Technet, ETc...). The bug that I've mentioned specifically is around moving threads to different Forums that are not shared across brands.

So, it works :). I'm not moving threads that I know targeted to brands specific Forums because it's going to fail :(. We have our release this Month that will address this issue

The forums in the post are in the same forum brand (ADO.Net and .Net General), are you sure they are in different brands?

Off Topic threads in this Forum, I move to the "Off Topic forum". This forum is shared across brands. When moving a thread to a shared forum (shared across brands), this works.
