Live Mesh vs Live Sync RRS feed

  • Question

  • Will I still be able to access computers with live mesh if I upgrade to live sync?  Will I have to set up all computers again or does the new program just upgrade the system?

  • No.

You will need to reconfigure all computers when the new Live Sync is installed and reconfigure the sync folders and relationships. Nothing is migrated from Live Mesh to Live Sync. Your local folders will become unmeshed and your Live Desktop folders and data will remain in place, accessible via a browser at www.mesh.com .

  • I'll add that the Live Sync beta includes remote functionality, too. it will need to be configured to be allowed on each PC where you install the beta to.
