  • Question

  • Is there a way to extend Microsoft.Synchronization.Services.SyncService to support a non SQL Server database?

  • With the current CTP this is not possible. You will have to implement the server side protocol all on your own. For our RTW we are working on extensibility, so that it may be possible to extend the service to interact with a custom provider, not just the Database provider.

  • Hi arisilv,

It is unlikely that RTW will ship with out of the box support for a non-SQL Server/Azure database. However, we may have support for plugging in a custom provider (that can be an oracle provider).
