Script error that driving us crazy !!!

Question

We have been dealing with this script error since our organisation upgrade to CRM 2013 online from 2011 online. the frequency of this error occurring varies from users/systems to users/systems. clearing browser cache and temp files doesn't seem to work on this. We are using only IE for now.

I have posted the error details and screen shot of this .. if some one could help me with this that would be great..

Hi,

This error is coming from the internal javascript of Dynamics CRM - if you disable all of your custom webresources do you still get the error?

I would suggest opening up a support case with Microsoft about it.

Hi,

The error is <Message>Object expected</Message> which means the js try to do some dom action but find the object is missing.

Have you removed any field on the form? Then the script error will show after then.

In my case, I get this error when I have an iFrame in the form, If I remove it the error is gone. Still trying to find out how to add the iFrame without get the exception.

hello,

please try to follow Santosh's comment and try to change the option to automatically send error to Microsoft. This will remove the alert when errors happen.

and for long term fix, raise a call with Microsoft support as Scott suggested. It is also worth checking your IE version and try with compatibility mode turned on/off.

Yes, I'll do that in our LIVE instance, however can't do that in DEVELOPMENT environment, as that's not a solution.

I get the error with Chrome and Firefox, so don't think is an IE problem. Thanks,
