Problems syncronizing a DB2 database RRS feed

  • Question

  •

    Hello everyone!

Im trying to implement the tipical example showed in the documentation of Synchronization Services whith a DB2 database, and Im having a lot of problems because there arent examples implemented with DB2 (problems getting the anchor values principaly). My questions are:

1.- Exist this type of information/tutorials somewhere?

2.- Is Microsoft Synchronization Services REALLY compatible with DB2 (not in teory, in practice)?

    Thanks!

  • the Sync service should be OK with DB2 as the backend db server. you will need to make sure the queries on the sync adapter are running OK on DB2 server.

Please share out your code snippet, this will help us to trouble-shooting the issues.

    1. For DB2? Doubt it.
    2. YES!  Sync Services for ADO.NET - it works with any ADO.NET compatible database.  However if you aren't using SQL Server on the server side or SQL Compact on the client side, it does take some massaging.

Explain what problems you are having and maybe we can help you.
